Montclair State stepped onto the court in Camden with one mission: prove once again that excellence is not an accident—it’s a habit built through discipline, unity, and belief. With every possession, every defensive stand, and every surge of momentum, the Red Hawks showed exactly why they remain undefeated and unstoppable.
Fueled by 24 commanding points from Jacob Morales, Montclair State soared to an emphatic 84–58 victory over Rutgers–Camden, strengthening their perfect season and reminding everyone watching that greatness grows when preparation meets passion.
HOW IT HAPPENED — A TEAM THAT REFUSES TO SETTLE
A Relentless Start
- The Red Hawks (20–0, 13–0 NJAC) opened in a gritty defensive duel, but they stayed patient, poised, and confident.
- Fresh off the bench, Ahmad Robertson ignited the spark, slicing to the rim and scoring eight straight points—proof that impact comes from readiness, not starting positions.
- With Robertson attacking, Cristian Nicholson and Morales added fuel, stretching the lead to 20–7 midway through the first half.
Momentum Built Through Trust
- Rutgers–Camden made a brief push, but champions respond—not react.
- Morales drilled a momentum-shifting three, and Myles Primas, Nicholson, and Kabrian Goss combined for six straight points to rebuild a double-digit cushion.
- Robertson punctuated the half with a powerful dunk, sending Montclair into the break up 43–27, fully in control and fully believing in their collective strength.
A Second-Half Statement
- Montclair opened the second half with purpose, unleashing a 12–2 run powered by Morales’ long-range shooting.
- Ryan Cassels buried a corner three, extending the surge and reinforcing the team’s “next man up” mentality.
- With defensive stops fueling offense, Goss found Christian Cevis for a layup, and baskets from Kunga Tsering and Primas widened the gap to 23.
Finishing With Authority
- Morales stayed locked in, adding a layup and pushing the lead to 27.
- Rutgers–Camden attempted one final rally, but the Red Hawks stayed composed, disciplined, and confident.
- Goss sealed the win with back-to-back threes, closing out a performance defined by teamwork, resilience, and unwavering belief.
INSIDE THE RESULTS — A TEAM WRITING HISTORY WITH EVERY GAME
- 20–0. Montclair State remains the only undefeated team in Division III and one of just five undefeated programs across all NCAA levels.

- Kabrian Goss: 15 points, eight assists, and now 14th all-time in program assists with 223 in just 48 games.
- Ahmad Robertson: First career double-double—13 points and 10 rebounds—showing what happens when preparation meets opportunity.
- Myles Primas: Another double-figure outing with 10 points, continuing his consistent rise.
- Team Excellence:
- 54% shooting from the field
- 42 points in the paint

FROM THE COURT — A MESSAGE OF GROWTH & GRATITUDE
Head Coach Justin Potts shared his pride and clarity of purpose:
“Another strong NJAC road win. We shot the ball well, forced turnovers, and set the tone early in the second half. I’m proud of how our guys responded and stayed locked in. We’ll keep pushing to improve as we return home to Panzer next week.”
His words echo the team’s identity: stay humble, stay hungry, and keep climbing.
