Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University Women’s Flag Football team delivered a statement Saturday at Sprague Field — a statement written in grit, precision, and absolute dominance. The Red Hawks (11‑1, 9‑1 ECAC) shut out both Sacred Heart and Wagner, soaring to their 10th straight victory and proving once again that this team doesn’t just win — they command the field.

HOW IT HAPPENED — SACRED HEART

• The opening drives were a defensive battle, but Montclair struck first with unwavering resolve. After marching downfield behind explosive gains from Serenity Muhammad and Kimora Weston, quarterback Haddiyah Bell powered through on fourth‑and‑two, punching in the first touchdown and setting the tone at 6–0.

• The Red Hawks wasted no time unleashing their defensive firepower. Giannamarie Greenhalgh jumped a route at the Sacred Heart 20 and sprinted it back for a pick‑six — her third of the season — pushing Montclair to a commanding 12–0 lead after one.

• With momentum fully in their hands, Montclair’s offense kept attacking. Emily Del Rosario sparked another long drive, and Nylea Underwood bulldozed through defenders with back‑to‑back runs before Bell crossed the goal line again to make it 19–0.

• The defense continued to suffocate the Pioneers. Bri Carter opened the second half with another sack, and Genevieve Fara weaved through traffic on fourth‑and‑goal for a clutch touchdown, extending the lead to 25–0.

• As Sacred Heart tried to rally, Montclair slammed the door shut. Stephanie Ixcaco delivered a drive‑killing sack, then sealed the game with her first collegiate interception. Three kneel‑downs later, the Red Hawks walked off with a resounding 25–0 victory.

INSIDE THE RESULTS — SACRED HEART

• Haddiyah Bell racked up 102 total yards, including a season‑best 65 rushing and two touchdowns — her third straight game with a rushing score. • Underwood (50 yards) and Sophia Del Grosso (40 yards) both hit new season highs. • Greenhalgh’s pick‑six tied her for the team lead with seven interceptions. • The defense delivered its fifth shutout, holding Sacred Heart to just 12 total yards and negative rushing yardage for the fifth time this season. • Montclair’s defense continues to terrorize opponents: 39 interceptions and 26 sacks for 152 yards on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED — WAGNER

• Wagner opened strong, but Montclair’s defense refused to break. On fourth‑and‑goal, Bri Carter delivered a momentum‑shifting sack. One play later, Bell exploded for a 66‑yard run, setting up her own touchdown to put Montclair ahead 6–0.

• The second quarter belonged entirely to the Red Hawks. Carter’s relentless pressure forced another punt, and Bell answered with a 37‑yard touchdown run, stretching the lead to 12–0.

• Underwood then powered through with consecutive big gains before punching in another touchdown, with Bell converting the PAT for a 19–0 halftime advantage.

• The second half became a defensive showcase. Carter continued her dominant day with yet another sack, while Fara added one of her own as Wagner struggled to move the ball. Bell kept the chains moving with a 16‑yard burst, and the Red Hawks controlled the clock until time expired — sealing their 10th straight win and sixth shutout of the season.

INSIDE THE RESULTS — WAGNER

• Bell delivered a career‑best 159 rushing yards, including her season‑long 66‑yard sprint, and added two more touchdowns — giving her four on the day and nine this season. She has scored multiple touchdowns in five straight games.

• Underwood added 37 yards and her eighth rushing touchdown of the year.

• Carter was unstoppable: six sacks against Wagner, 10 total on the day, and 14 flag pulls — raising her season total to 21 sacks.

 • Montclair’s defense has now allowed just 18 total points at home this season.
